AUGUST CURRENTLY & JULY BLOG REVIEW

I always have good intentions of getting this post up on Wednesday but it never quite seems to happen. Coming at you today with what we are following, ordering, pinning, watching, and counting. Then stick around of my July blog review where I recap all the things you loved around here in July!

F O L L O W I N G
Coming out of the gate strong but this topic is heavy on my heart right now so I’m going to go for it. Social media/blogging/the internet in general is going to expose us all to things/topics/situations/personalities that we don’t agree with. If you don’t like what someone is doing or their posts annoy you or make you feel like your life is lacking in some way, please just unfollow them. This 100% extends to myself. If you don’t think my posts add value to your life or if they make you feel anything less than happy please, please, please think about unfollowing me! I want this community to feel uplifting and encouraging to every single one of you – even in the hard stuff or the posts that seem “salesy.” If you don’t like it or don’t understand it, simply don’t read. I’ve had to make some hard decisions myself recently and unfollow a few people I consider friends because their posts were making me feel like I was doing something wrong or not doing enough. None of us should be made to feel that way. If you don’t like what someone is doing, who not just unfollow them instead of point out what you don’t like in other people? Plenty of fish in this blogging sea. 🙂 Alright, this post will be lighter from here on out, I promise.

O R D E R I N G
We have spent the last few weeks getting the guest room cleared, re-carpeted, and painted so it’s time to start purchasing things for Camden’s big boy room! This bed got delivered last night and this comforter (which you all fully helped me decide on over on Instagram) is on it’s way. It’s more color and pattern than anything else in our house so I’m nervous, but fingers crossed I love how it comes together. I also remembered to order TWO sets of sheets for his bed (this one and this one) which made me feel like a real adult since you may remember my confessions about sheets is this post!

P I N N I N G
I pin things all. the. time. and looking through my pins I see two trends: Things I want to buy and things I want to eat, ha! With a little dreaming of things I’d like to do to my house thrown in now and then. Come follow along if you’d like! These Everything But The Bagel Sweet Potatoes and Bacon Broccoli Pasta are recent pins on my meal plan for next week!

W A T C H I N G
There are three TV shows I’m watching consistently and they are The Challenge on MTV (yes I’m embarrassed by this confession), Dateline, and The Handmaid’s Tale. Throw in Law & Order: SVU when it’s in season and you have my entire TV line up, ha! Do you all watch any of these? Handmaid’s Tale has been so intense this season, especially for a pregnant lady, so Nathan and I have been watching it really slowly. He also imposed a rule that we could no longer watch it before bed because I would wake up in the middle of the night sobbing over a bad dream literally every. single. time. So logical that husband of mine.

Down the days until our trip to Navarre Beach! Does anyone that has ever been to the area have any recommendations? We are so nervous/excited to go to a new place. I’m definitely going to try and recreate that chalkboard from our countdown last year this weekend – I think it’s my favorite I’ve ever done!

July’s Top 5 Blog Posts
1. The first Friday Five post of the month. I get it, guys! You love Friday Five posts. Now read some other posts why don’t you? 😉 Just kidding of course. I LOVE how much love F5 posts get because they are some of my favorite to read as well!

2. 4 Recent Home Purchases That Are Changing My Life was another super popular post from July. Every time I give you all a peek inside our home I get the sweetest messages about it! It’s far from exactly how we want it but it’s getting closer and closer all the time.

3. The post about my recent gorgeous and affordable Amazon Prime Fashion Purchases was also a hit! As much as I think I’d like to be a Pinterest mom I think it’s fairly apparently I’m an Amazon Prime mom. I’ve been embracing that lately and ordering A LOT of cute pieces of clothing that I’ve been really happy with.

4. You guys loved my 4th of July Rewind post, too! Summer is coming to a close and I’m happy to say we have lived it UP this year! The 4th of July is always one of our favorite days and this year was really fun of course but also full of some heart-check moments.

5. This Friday Five post rounded out the top 5 this month. What can I say, I do really great Friday 5 posts! 😉

July’s Top 5 Purchased Items

1. The Amazon Pocket Maxi Dress from my Amazon Fashion post was far and away the most purchased item this month! That makes my heart just soar. It really is a flattering, great quality dress that I highly recommend!

2. I talk about this AE Swimsuit all the time and it shows because it was in the top 5 purchased things last month, too! This suit is still working wonderfully with my growing belly. You can not beat the quality, style, or price on this thing! One of my favorite purchases this summer for sure.

3. Less than $5 shipped for these Amazon Sunglasses? I totally get why several of you picked them up, too! For reference I have color/style A and I’m still obsessed! Nathan surprised me with a pair of Ray-Ban aviators but I still wear these often because I’m not afraid of them getting messed up.

4. Amazon Bralette. Game changer. Wear it multiple times a week. No idea why it took me so long to get on board the bralette train.

5. I just got my Universal Slide Sandals in yesterday but I few of you scooped them up after I post about them here. I can not get over how good of dupes they are for the $60 slides of the season!

July’s Top 5 Clicked Items
1. Again, since I can’t stop talking about it, you all can’t stop checking out what the hype is about with our Inflatable Pool. I got our’s for $15 at Aldi (listed on Target’s website at $30 via the link) but would have happily paid $100 for it with how much use it’s gotten.

2. Again with the AE Swimsuit! I’m telling you, it’s as good as it seems. Scoop it up now!

3. I love these BP V-Neck Tees and wear mine basically on constant rotation. Black, yellow, blue, repeat. They are actually part of the anniversary sale and less than $12 right now! YES.

4. Still rocking my Universal Thread Jeggings and they are really as good as they seem! So comfortable and under $25. Add these to your closet.

5. Who doesn’t love a t-shirt dress and this Old Navy T-Shirt Dress is a winner! Many styles are under $10 right now. I feel like it will transition to fall with a long sweater and booties really well, too!

As always, thank you for stopping by this month, reading, commenting, and shopping through my links! I love this community. Another amazing way you can support is to share my blog/Instagram/FB page with your friends however you want! I think we can all agree that we are way more likely to trust/be interested in people that are recommended by our friends and family. Love you all, mean it!
