As the third trimester of our second pregnancy looms (next week!!) it’s really time to starting thinking about what we want and need for Baby Sansing #2! This list is full of the fun and the practical things I’m dreaming of or have already purchased for Baby Girl!

The Practical Stuff
1. Infant Optics DXR-8 Set – We have been unhappy with our Motorola monitor system for several months so I went to the moms in various FB groups I’m in and hands-down the most recommended one (for multiple cameras) was Infant Optics! We actually had to pull the trigger on this already after the other totally bit the dust and have been using it for about a month with zero issues. We will just have to purchase an extra camera a little later on when Baby #2 is ready to sleep in her own room.

2. Chicco Cortina Double Stroller – Basically the double version of our Chicco Bravo system that we’ve been very happy with!

3. Ubbi Diaper Pail – I didn’t register for a diaper pail with Camden after hearing mixed reviews about if people liked them or not. We WILL be getting one for the next baby. I can not stand the smell of diaper in our house and we are just not the people who can take a diaper outside to the trash every single time.

4. Haakaa Manual Breast Pump – Camden and I had such a positive breastfeeding experience and I’m praying for that again! I’ve heard this silicon pump is great for catching the precious milk from the opposite breast that you are feeding on during let down. And quick relief when your supply is regulating and you get engorged.

5. We are reusing all the furniture and wall color in the nursery currently so we just need to switch things out for more girly linens and some decor. We need all the girly crib sheets but I especially love this floral set! I also think I’m going to keep it simple with this crib skirt that will match everything.

6. & 7. I spent A LOT of time dragging all the bins of baby stuff from our attic and painstakingly going through each one to see what we can reuse for Baby #2. Answer: Hardly anything. Call me what you want but I just can’t put my first baby girl in a blue swaddle with whales on it to save a few dollars. So we will need a few newborn swaddles, transition swaddles, and sleep sacks. We used all those same swaddles (and more) with Camden and found them to be the best/easiest to use.

8. I have heard these Zipper Sleepers (not pictured) are great for when they are transitioning to hands free swaddling too so we may give one a try. I do remember that being a hard time with our first baby.

9. Hatch Baby Sound Machine – Ultimate first time mom probs, but I wasn’t sure if our son was going to actually need white noise to sleep so I registered for a cheap BATTERY powered sound machine. The worst. 28 months later we are still using that frustrating thing and WILL be purchasing an electric sound machine for the next babe. I love the idea of the Hatch Baby because it’s a sound machine, night light, and ok-to-wake clock all in one and the design is so sleek.

10. Ingenuity Booster Seat – Again, just something I wish we would have thought of before! We love love love our 4moms High Chair but need something else that can be put on our bar stools or kitchen table chairs after a while.

The Fun Stuff
1. Girly Books – I’m so ready for books about princesses, ballet, and just generally GIRL stuff! I loved Madeline as a girl and this Madeline Christmas book will be in our house this Christmas. Send me all your recommendations for pretty, girly books I can display on her books shelves!

2. Bows – My husband has already tried to set a limit on the number of bows allowed in the house at one time, ha! I’ve had my eye on this set and missed them when they were part of the anniversary sale but will definitely be purchasing. She is going to be a Christmas baby after all. They are perfect!

3. Milk Snob Cover – I loved my Milk Snob Cover with Camden. They are so lightweight and can be used for a million different things. But I can’t find it. Whomp whomp. Which is honestly fine with me the one I had (what I thought were) cute black and white “dots” until someone pointed out they were cow spots. As in, milking a cow. Uhh, no thank you.

4. Dot Romper – Obviously, this child is going to need clothes to wear! I’ve had my eye on this romper for a while and love it but there are approximately one million adorable baby girl outfits out there! She’s going to need something for Christmas and I love this pretty set.

5. Ditto from above to shoes! I feel like these Mary Janes will go with everything but I also love how versatile moccasins are and that they can’t kick them off. Love these pretty things as well.

6. Changing Basket – Total splurge item but I love the look of these changing baskets instead of the changing pad.

7. This Floral Muslin Blanket was on major sale during the Anniversary Sale and actually the first purchase I made for her. I’ve always loved it and dreamed about having a little girl to use it with! It’s heavy muslin material and will be perfect for the car seat in the first months she is here.

8. Freshly Picked Diaper Bag – Again, another total splurge item since the navy Vera Bradley backpack I used as a diaper bag the first time is in great condition. But ultimately I found it too big and cumbersome. I didn’t need all the room and after a few months it just wasn’t worth it to slug around a huge bag with some diapers in it. So I got a cheapie backpack from Forever21 and it just looks awful. I feel like this one is a good, middle size and would at least hold up!

9. Not pictured – All the Christmas jammies and outfits! Not sure if you have caught the vibe but this child is due in early December and most of you know how seriously we take Christmas in this house. I dream about her (non-obnoxious) Christmas outfits every single day.

Is there anything I’m missing that you know are loving that I’m missing? I swear, baby stuff changes so much, so fast! I feel like I had a baby 10 years ago, not two years! We are obviously reusing A LOT from when Camden was a baby as well. Pretty much everything in my Newborn Essentials Post still stands, with just a few exceptions. Sometime soon I’ll give the stuff we plan to reuse it’s own post but this is more enough for today!
