It’s Friday! I’ve been up since about 3:30am thanks to pregnancy insomnia so I thought I’d get a Friday 5 post together for you! It’s been a minute. Also, please forgive me if nothing else I say makes any sense… #itsearly
The past few days have felt more crazy than usual as we adjusted to the time change (because toddlers), followed up with what felt like a gazillion doctors, and tried to resume normal life after our crazy week last week! We have a fun, but low-key weekend planned with a night out at our church tonight and a little baby sprinkle for me tomorrow. I hope you all enjoy your weekend and enjoy these Friday Five!
1. Starting off deep today but this guy needed so much more attention and love this week and, frankly, for the majority of those days I just didn’t feel like I had it to give. We may have just gotten a small preview of how hard the transition to two babies is going to be on all of us! BUT we are learning and growing together and thankfully we have new mercies and grace given to us every time we mess up. I’m soaking up and trying to enjoy every minute of these last few days and weeks we have as a family of three – even when it’s hard!
Teepee (that’s the same one but they don’t have this pattern listed right now, boo) | Sign: Etsy (shop now closed) | Basket: At Home
2. THIS ROOM. I still haven’t been able to photograph and get it up on the blog for you guys because A) The only “free” time I have to do so seems to be when there is a child sleeping in the bed and B) We keeping taking two steps forward and one step back in here! If anyone knows how to fix or buy a new teepee tent pole, let me know. Because toddlers. Insert wailing emoji face here. We are all missing the “castle” something fierce!
Protein Mix | Epic Bars (I love this flavor, too!)
3. A couple of weeks ago I asked you all for pre-packaged, high protein, low sodium snacks and you all showed up! By dinner time I’m ravished but during the day I usually can’t bring myself to stomach a whole meal so snacking has pretty much taken over. I don’t eat pre-packaged stuff every time I need to eat of course but these things have been lifesavers when I’m out and feel my blood sugar/energy dropping! Other great suggestions were edamame, hard boiled eggs, and Larabars.
Open-Front Sweater | Tunic Length Sweater (old): H&M Mama – Love this similar one! | Leggings | Boots
4. Another day, another outfit with THE Amazon sweater. I’m telling you, it’s the best $15 I’ve spent in a looong time! I love what it adds to every darn outfit. And before you send me a message that says “You don’t even look pregnant!” go ahead and check this out…
Side view from the day before! #thisis36weekspregnant
I’m so grateful to have carried this babe another week! Now let’s get in one more week before praying the Lord shows mercy on this mama and puts her out of her misery. Mental misery that is. Physically I truly feel great!
5. I finally finished up this audio book yesterday and it was pretty good! 3.5/5 stars I’d say. It starts a little slow but the middle to ending makes up for it in my opinion. It’s a suspenseful book but not scary by any means. The ending took me totally by surprise which I feel like is really hard to do most of the time (while making sense). I was SO EXCITED to finally get off the waiting list for this book at the library and start it next but I could not listen to the narrators voice for even two minutes. It was bad. I guess I’ll catch the printed version in a few…years.
Have a great weekend!
