Here’s how you know that Rachel is nesting. She starts and finishes a DIY project and then she completes the cycle by blogging about it. I don’t even know who I am right now.

A few weeks I called out to my nurse friends on Facebook and Instagram for advice on what they would most like to receive as a thank you gift from patients. Obviously, consulted Pinterest first, but was completely overwhelmed with super complex ideas. I wanted to make simple gifts for all of the sweet nurses who will be helping us bring our baby boy into the world to let them know we appreciated them, but not at the sake of my sanity.

Between Pinterest and my friends, I decided that consumable, energy boosting, prepackaged treats were the way to go. I couldn’t pick my favorite of these two ideas, so I did them both!

This project really could not have been easier, which is so perfect for the last few weeks of pregnancy when you need something to keep busy but also don’t want to take on a major project that you feel like might not get finished in time. Purchase your treats, print out your labels, tie them together, then stick them in a basket you pulled off your living room shelf (or you know, whatever). Wham bam thank you ma’am – I think this barely took me an hour. Oh yeah.

I love how it turned out! I’m planning to add some sort of noticeable note that says “Help Yourself!” or something like that so I can just leave it by the door in our room and don’t have to offer it to each individual person that comes in.

I got the idea for the peanut gift here, but I made up the printable I used here myself in PicMonkey! I’m no printable expert so I have no idea how to link it for you to download, but I think if you just right click the image below, save it to your computer, then print it as a 8×11 or whatever that should work. If it doesn’t, email me at rachelemilyblog(at)gmail.com and I will be happy to send the file to you :) You can find the “latte” printable in this post.

thanks for helping with our little peanut tag

What do you guys think? Easy enough, right?
