It’s the Friday before Christmas and we’ve all got a lot to do so let’s get right in to these Friday Five!
1. I’m calling the above photo “Lazy Girl Chocolate Covered Pretzels.” Earlier in the month Nathan asked if I would make chocolate covered pretzels this holiday season and I gave him a hard no. Is it just me or are chocolate covered pretzels THE most labor intensive treat in the world? Not happening this year, sir. So in that spirit (with a little Pinterest inspiration) I made this instead! Here’s how I did it:
1 package of almond bark (regular or vanilla) melted according to package and spread out on parchment paper placed on a cookie sheet.
Layer pretzels over the top of the chocolate and cover the entire surface as best you can. Pressing them into the chocolate a little helps!
Top with whatever you want! On this batch I melted a little of the vanilla almond bark and caramel but I did candy canes and sprinkles on some other ones! The world is your oyster and you really can’t go wrong.
2. Taking a hard left here but is anyone planning to do Whole30 this January? Nathan and I had a great experience with our’s this year and are excited to do it again! I’m going to try to get a post up next week about what we are doing to prep this time around because I learned a lot last time.
I’m also thinking about getting us a Thrive Market subscription this time around. They have a ton of the products we used, loved, and will be using again so I think it may be a smart decision. Does anyone have a Thrive subscription? Let me know what you think and what your favorite products are in the comments!
3. I shared these bows on both Instagram and Facebook this week so sorry if this is over kill but I’m legit obsessed with them. I love all the different fabrics and textures plus you will not believe the price!! Lucy is constantly wearing bows from the set pictured and I got her a different set to put in her stocking. Amazon for the win again!
4. One week into Christmas break from pre-school and we are already experiencing a smidge of cabin fever. There are only so many trips to Target one needs to take a week. Just kidding, that limit does not exist. ANYWAYS it’s much harder to take a newborn and a toddler out and about for the morning so I’ve been trying to plan some at-home activities for Camden to do. Enter Busy Toddler. It’s an amazing Instagram account with really easy activities to entertain your toddler! This food coloring/ice activity kept Camden busy for a solid 15 minutes. Multiple times! Because water + toddlers = true love. (Basically he is just moving the ice back and forth between those two bowls with a slotted spoon. SO easy to set up!!)
Joggers | Sweatshirt | Hat
5. Say hello to my new go-to errand running outfit. Comfy but still pulled together- basically what dreams are made of! These joggers are so comfortable and I’m obsessed with this sweatshirt (also seen in this try-on session post). I need 6 more outfits exactly like this so that I can be this cozy every day. What is your favorite cozy clothing item right now?
Have a great weekend and CHRISTMAS friends!
