FRIDAY FIVE

It’s been a while since I showed up around here on a Friday! This week has been insanely busy and I am ready for the weekend so we can slow down a little. Fingers crossed that actually happens!

Working out makes her very tired

1. Have you all heard of Fit4Mom? They are the company behind Stroller Strides and one just opened in our area! Local friends, I can not recommend this program enough. I was so nervous about how I was going to be able to work out because Lucy isn’t quite ready for me to leave her (she’s still eating every two hours during the day 🙃) and I refuse to put her in the gym childcare until after flu season at least. When I saw on Facebook that Fit4Mom was coming to our town it seemed like the perfect fit and it has been! Lucy is literally incorporated into the class plus it truly is a great workout! (I’ll admit, I was skeptical.) Your first class is free and I’d love to have you tag along if you are interested! You can check out all the info about them here.

2. On a whim I decided to grab a couple of board games to add to Camden’s Christmas and I’m glad I did! Or maybe I’m not because we’ve done not much else other than play Hungry Hungry Hippos every night… Anyways, he loves it! I also got this one but forgot to purchase batteries and continue to forget every time we are out. But I really think he will love that too! Do you guys have any other board game type things that are suitable for a 2.5-3 year old?

TOP | LEGGINGS | COAT

3. I shared these pieces on my Instagram Story and Facebook page this week and you guys seemed to love it! Especially the coat. I don’t blame you at all because it’s so thin, yet still really warm, under $60, has a hood, and came from our favorite place…Amazon. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about working out in sleeves but this top is a new favorite and the price on these amazing leggings can’t be beat! If you are in need of active wear I also did a whole Old Navy Active try on session earlier this week with tons of great pieces.

4. Two new to be beauty faves that have been changing my life are this Revlon Colorstay in color Infinite Raspberry and the Kristin Ess Icionic Style Hairdryer.

I’ve had a ton of you ask me about my lip color lately over on Instagram and this is it! The color is bold but not too bold that I feel like I have to save it for special occasions and it stays put really well, too. I have found the key is to apply the gloss semi-regularly but not to over apply – a thin layer does the trick.

I am also OBSESSED with my new hairdryer! Full disclosure, my old one was ancient and truly awful so maybe this one just actually works, but I think it’s great. My hair dries in less than 5 minutes and doesn’t look completely frizzed out afterwards. Like, I WORE MY HAIR OUT YESTERDAY JUST BLOW DRIED, NOT STRAIGHTENED. And it looked like it had been straightened. Magic.

ONE DAY IN DECEMBER

5. It has been a while since I’ve been able to say a book is so good I’ve barely been able to put it down, but it’s true for this book! I truly had a hard time putting it down last night in order to start writing this post. It’s also been a while since I thought a book lived up to the hype around it and this one does that, too! I’m about half way done and can’t wait to finish. I’ve had a few people ask if it’s too Christmas-y to read in January and the answer is absolutely not. The main event happens around Christmas-time but the book spans years. Highly recommend!

Speaking of books, my bestie just started a bookstagram and she is already killing her reading list this year! Go give her a follow if you are a book fan!!

Have a great weekend, everyone!
