I didn’t talk much about Camden’s transition from crib to regular bed because honestly it was pretty unremarkable. Though I will fully admit I was dreading it and hoped to put it off as long as possible (see also, potty training). We had things set up in here, including the bed, for a few weeks and tried to talk up the fact that he was moving to the big boy room so the new baby could sleep in the crib when she came. Around the same time we went on a vacation where he slept on a pull out sofa then a few days after we came home, he asked to sleep in the bed and that was that. It took him months and months to realize he could get out of his bed without us coming to get him! And a few more weeks after that to realize he could open the door and walk out on his own. That has since ended (hence the Ok to Wake clock pictured) but it was a blissful time while it lasted.
This room has been nearly finished for 6+ months so I finally decided to call well enough done and share it! The perfectionist in me is cringing that there is nothing on the window (I can not decide what type of treatment to do – HALP!) and the bookshelf looks cluttered but this is our home, not a perfectly styled catalog so I’m trying to let it go.
I tried to keep things as neutral as possible in here (you all know that’s my go to!) while also keeping in mind the fact this is a little boy’s room. I’m really happy with the way it has turned out!
