Hi and happy Friday, friends!
The days are flying by in a whirlwind of (what seems to be) never ending house drama. We are STILL negotiating inspection findings on both houses and I’m really ready for this part to be over to be honest. We begrudgingly accepted a longer time for the buyers to close on our current home (six weeks instead of the usual four) and now I am thanking our lucky stars that we did that because we are in no way ready to close on Monday. Which is what it would have been at four weeks. It is KILLING me not to be able to shop some of these Memorial Day sales, though!!
After the crazy busy weekend we had last weekend we are SO ready to kick back with our small group friends tonight and have a slow three day weekend. Are you guys doing anything fun? We have almost zero plans and I LOVE it.
1. The Southern Side of Paradise
You guys my friend Kristy has done it again!! Her third and final (boo) novel in The Peachtree Bluff Series is out now and I can not tell you how good it is. Just like the first two books Slightly South of Simple and The Secret to Southern Charm, The Southern Side of Paradise is the PERFECT summer read. Just enough lighthearted with just enough drama and questions to pull at your heartstrings and keep you interested. I’m just about half way done with this one and it is just as good as the first two. I will be sad to see this series end! If you are a MaryKay Andrews or Elin Hilderbrand fan you will love this series.
2. Camden is THREE
Someday I’ll finish my post about his third birthday but for now I’ll just share this cute snap from his birthday DAY. Aka his “train birthday.” Not to be confused with one of the other three parties we had in his/our honor. (My birthday is two days before his.) How is my baby THREE? This kid is all boy. All crazy energy. He knows what he wants and what he wants usually includes to wake up at 5:45 am to start his day. Sigh. He is also the smartest, kindest, sweetest boy and I tear up just looking at this photo! I love him so much.

3. Black Target Top
The fact that I haven’t shared this top with you until now makes me a bad friend, for real. A month or so ago I bought 7273 tops from Target and ended up keeping three. #postpartumprobs BUT this top made it all worth it. It’s THE BEST and I mean that. I would consider it an elevated t-shirt. The material is SUPER thick and nice and I love how flattering the fit is. It comes in black and white and I’m also reconsidering my “no white clothes around the children” rule so that I can have the other. 10/10 stars – you need this top!
4. The Cookie Crate
If you are an OG blogger or blog reader you might remember my friend Maegan from when she blogged at The Modern Tulip. She and her husband recently started a cookie delivery company and she sent me a box of cookies to try! To be honest I thought shipping cookies sounded like a disaster waiting to happen but my cookies arrive in their adorable packaging perfectly shaped and super fresh. We got to try the snicker doodle, chocolate chip, blueberry infused, and peanut butter. And I can personal attest that they are ALL delicious, ha! Send some to a friend or treat yo’ self to some. Use code “RACHELS10” at checkout for 10% off your order!
5. Kitchen Rendering
I shared a few videos of the plans for our kitchen at the new house over on Instagram this week and you guys were so in to it! I can’t wait to share more of the home renovation process with you. I also asked what is your favorite thing about your kitchen or one thing you wished you had and you all had great feedback! Far and away the two most popular were double oven (a must have for me as well) and a double, roll out trash can. I had to take out our double trash can in place of something else in our latest design and now I’m scheming on how to get it back! What’s one thing you love about your kitchen or wish you had? Let me know in the comments!
Hope you all have a great weekend!
