Happy Friday, friends! It has been a crazy busy week as we finally took possession of the new house, YAY! All of our spare time has been spent at the house or checking house related items off a list. We are hoping to sneak away this weekend for some one-on-one time with our boy to see Toy Story 4. Have you all seen it? On one hand I’m excited and on the other I hate going into a movie (or a book) knowing I’m going to cry (which I always do at Disney/Pixar movies!)
Honest Stain Remover
It’s been too long since I mentioned my HOLY GRAIL stain remover on the blog. Not only do I love it for clothes (and car seats when babies inevitably dirty those up) but it’s the BEST thing to use on carpet, I swear! I won’t disgust you and tell you what is on the BRAND NEW carpet in the picture on the left but it rhymes with shmaybe shmoop. Ugh. I cleaned the floor with a wet rag then sprayed this stain remover all over it, scrubbed it again with a brush like this, then wiped it up with a dry rag. BOOM. Photo on the right. Plus, it’s not full of yucky chemicals so I feel perfectly fine using it on the floor where my babies play!
Unfortunately, the only place I see this stain remover is being sold right now is here on The Honest Company’s website annnd it’s sold out. But I’ve always gotten mine at Amazon or Target so maybe it will come back soon? I’m sorry I’ve wasted your time, lol. But keep your eye out for it (I will too!) and snag it if it becomes available.
Master Bathroom Progress
Eeeeek I’m so excited for the master bath at the new house!!! I know you are looking at that first set of pictures thinking, “Who would want to get rid of that gorgeous linoleum flooring?!” but I promise we have better plans. As you can see in the second picture we had to take the room down to the studs because we will be re-configuring the layout. I talked about it in more detail in my Instagram Story yesterday if you want to check it out! (I also saved the videos to a “Home Reno” highlight if you are catching this later on Friday).
Obviously, what I’m most excited for about this room is what it WILL be! Design wise I know what I like but navigating all the options (and price points!) leaves my head spinning to the point where I get so overwhelmed that my brain totally shuts down. Our friend Michael recently started a design business called Bloom and as soon as he told me I knew I needed his help to pull a few parts of this house together! We want to get the upstairs done as quickly as possible and I knew that I would not be happy with the result of this master bathroom if I was left to make decisions under extreme pressure. Michael stepped in, listened to all my ideas, got a sense of my style, and within 36 hours had our bathroom completely and beautifully designed. Mind blown. We’ve already changed it a little from the design you see above (we are doing a single sink instead to save a little room) but he seriously nailed my style while staying in my budget. If you need design help, I can not recommend him enough! You can reach out to them on Facebook or Instagram.

Swim Suit
I wanted to share an update to last week’s F5 post where I talked about the swim suits I bought from the Target sale! I mentioned this suit and a few others but after getting them in, this is the only one I ended up keeping. I’m not disappointed though because this suit is such a great find! It’s only $35 and seriously amazing quality – it feels like it should be so much more expensive than that. I went with a large and it fits really well. (My normal size is 10 in pants and between a medium and large in shirts depending on the fit). This suit offers total butt coverage, easy access for breastfeeding, and is forgiving in the middle all while still being super cute! It checks all the boxes. You need to see the back too! They are macrame and so pretty. 10/10!
New Beauty Faves
Schick Precision Razor – These babies have SO many uses! At least they do in my bathroom. I use them to touch up my brows or ahem, OTHER unwanted facial hairs and dermaplane my face once in a while to remove dead skin. But my favorite use currently is…on my bikini area. This gives me SUCH a close shave. Much better than any traditional razor I’ve ever used.
NYX 3-in-1 Eye Brow Pencil – I have been using this to fill in my brows lately and love the look it gives me. Bold brows without looking completely fake and overdone if you know what I mean! I outline my brows, fill them in, then “seal” it with the gel. It makes getting that bold brow look SO easy!
Coola Makeup Setting Spray – I got this in my FitFabFun box and will definitely be repurchasing forever. It tingles a little when you first put it on (but not in a bad way) and holds your make up while also adding SPF. I have been using this for a few weeks now and love the added SPF it provides while holding my makeup in place.
Lucy
Baby girl is almost 7.5 months old and I’m doing a terrible job keeping up with her updates! She. is. everywhere. All the time! We have really turned that infant baby corner and she is just such a delight. She LOVES table food, still won’t take a bottle, gets where ever she wants to go by army crawling, and pulls up on whatever she can all. day. long. She has all three of us wrapped around her finger and just brings so much joy to our family. We love you so much, Lucy Anne!
Have a great weekend!
