Parenthood is the strangest thing. You wait and wait for nine+ months for your life to completely change, then it all happens (otherwise know as your child is born), you get into a grove, then it changes again. Then the cycle repeats over and over. Life in month two feels like it was 100% different than life in the first month. It’s simultaneously the scariest and coolest thing ever.
In month two Camden…
…weighs 13 pounds and is 24 inches long. This puts him in the 80-90th percentile for his age.
…started going to work with mom and it’s going really well! Naps are still the most successful in the Solly Wrap or laying on the Boppy across mom’s lap.
…is so alert and expressive! He loves to lay on his back and “talk” to you.
…celebrated Father’s Day and the 4th of July.
…hold his head and neck up like a 5/6 month old according to his doctor.
…really is the easiest baby. The only (and I mean ONLY) time he cries is when he is hungry and I am not moving quick enough for his liking.
…outgrew his Rock N Play and started sleeping in his crib. The only person phased by this was mom.
…plays with his Kick N Play while at work with mom and LOVES it.
…goes down to sleep around 8 PM and sleeps until anywhere from 4:45-6:00 AM.
…is out growing his 3 month clothes.
…started going to the nursery while mom and dad are in church.
…has the hiccups EVERY DAY. He had them every day in the womb, too
…is staring to hit or kick things in front of him.
…plays on his activity mat for almost an hour every morning while mom reads her Bible, drinks coffee, and catches up on some blogs.
…and Percy are becoming more aware (less indifferent?) towards each other. Camden loves to look at Percy and Percy will sometimes lick and cuddle Camden.
…and mom made it through EIGHT days of dad traveling for work.
…is starting to pull up to a seated position when you hold his hands.
…still pretty much handles going anywhere like a champ. There has only been one instance where we had to wrap up dinner in a hurry and that was because it was too close to bed time.
It’s the best thing, guys.
