Happy Spring Break Friday from here in Indiana! One of the best Fridays of the year, in my opinion, because it means work will chill out for a few weeks after today, HA! Spring Break is our biggest week of the entire year and all the pressure, stress, and work that goes into making it successful culminates in one HUGE week of business. Yesterday the power went out while we had about 300 people in the building. It’s fine. I’m fine.
In better news Nathan’s travel is slowing down (he has been gone something like 15 days in the last five-ish weeks) and Lucy is sleeping 10 hour stretches at night. Hallelujah.
Anyways, I’m trying to get my blogging grove back – I have SO many good things to share! – and I thought I’d start with a good old Friday Five post since they are always the most popular anyways!
Mirrored Aviators | Canvas Shoes | No Show Socks
1. It’s STILL pretty chilly here so no fun Spring clothing for me yet but I am having fun switching things up with some new accessories! The cuteness and quality of these $16 mirrored aviators seriously blew my mind. This is the rose gold color but they also come in black and regular gold as well! Canvas slip ons are something I buy every year in the spring or fall and these in the photo are 30% off right now making them less than $20. They come in a few other colors as well but I thought this army green would be great for spring!
2. A few weeks ago I wrote about the awesome (and seriously affordable) meal delivery kit we are using in this post and you guys LOVED it! I’m pumped so many of you signed up! As much as I love the ease and convenience, the meals can be a little carb-heavy (tacos, pasta, and rice bowls are our favorites) and I wanted to share an easy “hack” I’ve been using to lighten up the meals for myself while making the boys happy. Romaine lettuce and frozen cauliflower rice are two of our household staples (I buy both at Aldi) so when I’m feeling like I want a lighter dinner I just whip up a bed of lettuce or rice to serve under my meal. Super easy!
Our favorite bows. From Amazon and only $16 for 10 adorable bows!
3. I mentioned that this week has been a little crazy at work but we were able to sneak away on Tuesday for a fun morning with our friends at a local inflatable place. Lucy was very unsure of the crazy raging around her and Camden walked out limping so…not sure if I can actually call that a success overall but we did have fun! Thank you to everyone who gave feed back on my Instagram Story about Camden’s legs. The Ortho urgent care gave us zero answers but I’ve got some other appointments made for him to make sure everything is ok!
4. One of our favorite ways to use up old bananas is to whip up some of these healthier chocolate muffins. Please ignore any and all text you read in that post and head straight to the bottom for the recipe. 2014 Rachel sure thought she was funny! The muffins really are delicious and it gives me an excuse to use my pretty measuring cups and spoons, win.
Blush Shorts | Tanks | Dress
5. My body is at a really fun postpartum stage where most size large things are too big and size medium is just a liiiittle snug. It makes shopping REAL fun. Anyways, since I’m ordering and returning things like a crazy person anyways I thought I’d give Prime Wardrobe a try! In case you haven’t heard of Prime Wardrobe it’s an Amazon service (probably obvious) where you add things to your “box,” they ship them to you, then you have a certain amount of time to try everything on and decide what you want before being charged. My box will be here today so I’ll try to share some more of my thoughts on the service next week!
BONUS
One of my sister’s (the first beauty there on the left after my dad) started an Instagram account with one of her friends called She Bought What?! where they review fun and practical purchases They have been sharing SO MUCH goodness including designer dupes on Amazon that will seriously blow your mind. Give them a follow here – you won’t regret it!
Have a great weekend!
