Home/Lifestyle

These oils for the diffuser. OMG smells JUST like everyone’s favorite candle. $14 for three bottles is such a steal! I’ve barely made a dent in one and I’ve used it like crazy!

Bug Bite Thing. Nathan grabbed this from Amazon after seeing it on an Instagram ad. It WORKS!

We are all washing our hands all the time and this watermelon mint hand soap will seriously make you want to do it even more. If I could EAT this soap, I would. It smells freaking amazing.

I’ve made some good progress on the decor in our foyer and just added this table. Check back in about 3 years to see if it’s styled yet or not.

Fashion

I bought these sneakers this month and have been wearing them everywhere casual! Playing with the kids, running errands, and to my dance fitness class at the gym. I love the light pink color but there are a bunch of options!

After watching my friend Katelyn post about her Ziya joggers for months I grabbed a pair and let me tell you, they are well worth the price! A really stretchy, comfortable fabric and lightweight enough to wear in this Indiana heat. I’ve been LIVING in them during quarantine.

I wore these Wal-Mart Sandals so much last summer that I needed to reinvest in them this summer. Luckily, they are $8. Best $8 I’ve spent!

Another thing I absolutely LIVED in during quarantine were/are these sports bras from Amazon. Comfy enough for lounging but supportive enough for a workout. I may really never wear another bra again!

I have like, three actual tops (aka not swim or workout wear) I’ve been wearing the last few months and this one is an absolute fave.

Reading/Listening

Feels Like Falling. I’ve made no secret how much I LOVED this book. And I’m not just saying that because I got a thank you in the back! I’ve loved all of Kristy’s books and this is her absolute best.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Can not express how much I loved this prequel to the Hunger Games series. My expectations were relatively low because I was not a fan at all of the final book in the original series but I LOVED this book!

In anticipation of the release of the sequel to one of my all time favorite books, The Royal We, I listened to the audiobook! Then I read the sequel, The Heir Affair, and loved it too!

Sincerely, Lettie Podcast. Lettie is a historian but also has a master’s degree in conflict resolution. She is a straight shooter and I’ve learned a lot about the history of slavery and racism in America and how it ties in to the issues we are facing today from her. She just started a new season but the old episodes are really great, too. She also has an awesome Patreon page where she sends monthly reading lists and hosts monthly webinars for members on various topics. Can not highly recommend it enough!

I tried several very popular political podcasts and the only one that stuck was the Pantsuit Politics Podcast. Sarah and Beth are moms and lawyers and full of grace while talking about the weekly news cycle. Many others I tried were very flippant or snarky (which I can totally get behind sometimes but just not what I want right now when it comes to talking about the state of our nation) but these ladies get it right.

Eating/Drinking

If I could eat this Arugula Feta Pasta Salad from How Sweet Eats every single day I would. I feel like I’ve shared it a million times here on the old blog but I made it twice this month for gatherings and it was as delicious as always!

We also re-upped our Hello Fresh subscription this month. I had already been considering it to break up the quarantine dinner monotony we have going on so when they sent me a great coupon, I couldn’t say no! We get the two person box and it usually feeds all 4 of us with zero problems. If you want to try it use this link to sign up and you’ll get $40 off your first order!

Lots of Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brews from Starbucks were consumed this month after Starbucks re-opened near us. These are SO good! I was terrified to look at the calorie count because of the word cream but it actually has less calories than my usual skinny vanilla latte. Mind blown.

Kids

These are my all time favorite swimsuits for little girls. Snaps on the bottom for easy diaper changes – total game changer.

Both the kids love this new-to-us book series. Lucy loves this one best because she likes to name (and kiss, woof) the pictures of the presidents at the beginning.

This cheap set of pool toys has been an MVP the last few weeks. Go ahead and just toss those little jewel things if you want to save your sanity. It’s still a great value.

I could go on but those are the highlights, lol. Clearly it has been A WHILE since I shared anything with you guys. I might do a whole book post because I have even more of those to share!

What’s something you are loving right now?
